The Big Reveal. (And the little ones, too.)

The spiritual journey

is a path of discovery

with new treasures to uncover

in scripture

in nature

and in relationships.

Glory slowly revealed

blooming from

hidden places,

unexpected.

Glimmering,

radiant,

just waiting for us

to pause

and savor the moment

of discovery.

An epiphany to us,

yet timeless,

shining since the dawn

of time

when He set it in place.

Some discoveries

are the “Big Reveals”

those watershed moments

that redirect our course

successfully turning

life’s rudder,

steering the ship

towards heavenly port.

Brokenness.

Repentance.

Acceptance.

Our journey is also decorated

with smaller reveals.

Moments of discovery

that center our souls

reminding us of beauty

reminding us of purpose

reminding us of home.

A home that has been

under construction

since He left

the cross

to prepare a place

for us.

  1. This poem is so beautiful! These lines touched me especially: “Moments of discovery
that center our souls” and “A home that has been under construction since He left
the cross to prepare a place for us.”
